Well obviously my belly has popped a little bit more as of late. Baby and I are approaching 27 weeks and that means I'm almost to my third trimester. I can definitely feel a difference this week in that I definitely feel more pregnant. And that's new!
My second trimester has been a dream. I have felt like myself, and had energy and my belly hasn't gotten in the way of what I need to do. People are always asking me how I feel, which is nice, but I never have anything to report. I feel fine. I feel like me. Don't worry about it.
But lately I've been getting more frequent heartburn, lower back aches and a nerve in my hip keeps getting pinched. Mostly I sound like an old woman and I kind of hobble around like one too depending on how my hips feel. Babies are the best and I'm getting so excited to have another one to hold, but holy cow, they do a number on your body. Pregnancy and I are not friends. But squeaky hips, pinched nerves and varicose veins are the way my body gets them here so I'll just grin and bear it and carry on until November.
I am thankful for an active baby in my belly that I feel moving and growing everyday and for my mostly awesome health that is allowing me to continue functioning at this busy time of life.
Have a fabulous Sunday and enjoy the last of your weekend!

  1. Uh, the heartburn. I'm also having a lot of issues with acid reflux, yuck. You look adorable here though!

  2. I love how you say "this is how my body gets them here". That really puts things in perspective. I still suffer terribly under the changes my body went through when I was pregnant. And that was two years ago! But when I look at my healthy beautiful son I feel like it was all worth it and I would give more!
