Someone asked me what my hobbies are the other day and I struggled to find an answer that didn't either include what I do for work and something very girly like shopping or painting my nails. And I guess that just shows how much of a girl I am. I've never answered rock climbing or soccer or swimming to that question. I do love to read and be creative in many ways, but shopping is still near the top of the list. Which is why I never thought I'd enjoy having someone else shop for me.

When I first tried Stitch Fix almost a year ago I thought for sure it would be a one time event. Yet here I am nine or ten fixes later and I still love it. You can read more about the details of Stitch Fix here, but basically it is a monthly subscription for clothing and accessories. A stylist chooses five items to send you based on your taste, size, preferences and requests, and then you only keep what you love. I've had great luck lately requesting specific items and getting exactly what I want or something very similar. In the last few months I requested have a gray purse and green or gray skinnies. All three items have arrived and I've loved them. We all know how shopping for pants by mail goes, but somehow the pants from Stitch Fix always fit!

I still love to shop for myself, but having someone else give a little input into my wardrobe has been really good for me. It's fun to consider new pieces that I might not have sought out, but they add something new to my existing clothing habits. Stitch Fix day is one of my favorite days of the month and I always look forward to seeing what surprises I'll find in my box.

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet?

*This isn't a sponsored post- Stitch Fix doesn't pay me anything. I just love the company and the service. I do get referral credits if you sign up under my link- but you can get the same credits if your friends sign up under you!

*PS- The winner for last week's giveaway can be found here! Thanks for entering! I can't wait for you to receive your new Nickel & Suede Spring items!

  1. It might just be me, but when I click the link to see who won the giveaway, I can't see a winner's name mentioned anywhere? I am being stupid?

  4. I just got my first Fix last week. It was amazing and wonderful and I loved everything! I was shocked that I actually was excited about and wanted to keep things I didn't actually pick for myself. Fortunately, not everything fit right, because I had an awful time trying to decide what to keep from the stuff that did! I can't wait to do it again, but I plan on budgeting specifically for it before next time!
