I took these photos about a week ago with the intent of using the for a ONE little BELT ad. Afterwards I was so glad I did because they coincided perfectly with Knox's first birthday. So not only did we get an ad out of the half hour we spent taking pics, I also got one year photos of this little ham. As Soren and I flipped though the photos trying to choose the right ad, he kept deleting the 'no's. I had to stop him because every picture had a little facial expression that I recognized and loved! I warned him that I would hold it against him when I was old and gray and wanted to see my babies again. If you flip through the outtakes fast enough, it's like a little movie! He scoffed and told me that is why my computer is so dang full - I hate deleting photos!

Do you hoard photos too? How do you get yourself to discard the extras?

  1. I make shutter fly books with all my photos. That way I can store them in an organized way and then I can make space on my laptop! Shutter fly almost always has some kind of discount or coupons too.

  3. I absolutely do that too! You know when you have your pictures taken at a studio and you have to pick poses or you can pay extra for the digital copies. I ALWAYS have to get the digital copies because I just can't bare the thought of not having access to all those pictures. That's what external storage is for. Right?!

  4. He's a doll...no wonder it's hard for you to delete pictures! I think it is a Momma thing to recognize those little gestures or looks in our children. I'm the same way about some of the pictures we've gotten of our little guy!

  6. He's so cute! I love his little belt, it makes him look like a little man! Adorable! It's crazy how just the right shot can make them look so much older My little girl is only about three months old but in some of her pictures I swear it looks like she is ready for college!

  7. I have almost 9,000 photos (15 GB worth) on my Mac from 2005-present ... mostly of my kids ... I am a BAD photo hoarder. ;)

  8. I have the photobucket app on my phone so it automatically uploads every pic I take ;) then I don't have to worry about deleting them off of my phone :)

  9. I hoard pictures too. I put them on CD's, put them in external hard drive and also upload them to shitterfly. There is no way to lose them, having them in so many places. Once they are on CDs, external hard drive and uploaded to shutterfly I then delete the out takes from my computer to make more room! I make shutterfly books every year too!!

  10. My husband is ruthless about deleting photos, but he is very sentimental about STUFF. I can toss the stuff in a heartbeat, but it's hard for me to delete photos. I guess we balance each other out.
