I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this week. And it MOSTLY has to do with the 60-70 degree forecast. I know you are all with me there - bring on the warmth. But I will admit I'm looking forward to Saturday too. (I know it's only Monday- but hear me out.)

Saturday night I'll be attending my first fashion week - as part of the press! Yes, a blogger counts as press and I couldn't be more excited/nervous to go. Kansas City has a fashion week every spring and fall, but I've never gone. It just seemed too out of my normal suburban mom routine, not to mention my comfort zone, but I've always wanted to. Recently I've been loving watching Project Runway episodes on Hulu, and I just find the high fashion world so interesting. I can't wait to see it up close, in my hometown, and to be part of the event. I'm very excited to attend Saturday night's show although I know I'll be freaking out on the inside the entire time. And seriously what am I going to wear? It is funny how confident I can feel sometimes and then when I'm thrown in a new situation like this I suddenly feel like the biggest dork ever.

What should I wear??? What are you looking forward to this week? Any plans that make you nervous too?

Shirt: GAP

  1. I am looking for the black jeans. I have purchase some Vigoss jeans, but they have lost their color really fast. I want black jeans that stay super dark without fading. Do you have any recommendations?

    1. I actually haven't found a pair of black jeans that don't fade. I usually wear a black knit pant instead that has some stretch and its like a really thick legging. I am always able to find a pair at TJ Maxx and grabbed these last week actually. They stay black, are comfortable, but are more modest than leggings.

  2. Look for black cotton jeggings. As keep black rit dye and a galvanized bucket on hand. And throw all your not blackest of black in there together.
